Dr. Campo is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Preventive Medicine (Addiction Specialty), and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Society, Florida Medical Society, Palm Beach County Medical Society, Palm Beach Psychiatric Society, New York Psychiatric Society, and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. He is on the faculty for the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s Live Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine workshops. He has lectured in New York, Florida, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on addiction and co-occurring disorders and has appeared on Fox’s Good Morning America.
Dr Campo was previously the Medical Director at Caron of Florida, overseeing a staff of Psychiatrists, Addiction Medicine Physicians, Family, and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, the Department of Psychology and Neurocognitive Services. Previously, he was the medical director at The Dunes East Hampton, Alternatives in Treatment Southampton, and medical director of Psychiatric Emergency Services at Jersey City Medical Center and Psychiatric Emergency Access Center at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center. He was associate medical director at Gracie Square Hospital in New York City. He was also an associate professor of clinical psychiatry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
